The loop beneath Nanpu Bridge is repositioned as a fully inhabited everyday field. The project operates through minimal intervention, extending the existing arboreal canopy into a dense forest that absorbs the presence of high-speed infrastructure. Beyond the Renmin Fang plot, this condition projects toward the transportation hub, consolidating a continuous urban “green dot.”
Framed as a biosphere, the proposal foregrounds vegetation, hydrological cycles, and carbon-conscious construction through cross-laminated timber systems. Built volumes are lifted to preserve the ground as an open, collective surface, where sport and auxiliary programs occupy the shaded undercroft.
Dispersion replaces hierarchy: aside from a ring corridor aligned with the viaduct columns, movement is unstructured and continuous. The absence of a primary entrance allows the site to be read first as landscape, within which program emerges gradually as part of a shared spatial field.
